ADVICE TO A FRIEND --- CONTENTMENT

                                                                         Chapter – ll

Contentment means to remain happy with one’s present possession. If we remain satisfied with our present belongings and position, our peace and happiness cannot be disturbed by growing wants. To reconcile with one’s own lot is a great virtue and this makes one to remain free from anxieties and this sort of healthy condition of the mind is called contentment. It is an inborn virtue but may be inculcated and developed. The man who gets it as his nature, can develop it with the acquisition of true knowledge and the man who wants it, can acquire it by slow degrees. It fills out mind with joy, satisfaction and cheerfulness. It fills our mind with joy, satisfaction and cheerfulness. Where there is joy there is life; so, contentment indirectly begets life.
